I've made the salmon chhuu chhi twice now and both times it was delicious
and very easy to prepare. I served it to Cambodian and American friends
and it was a big hit with both.

Comments:I enjoyed my first Cambodian cooking class with Demaz
so much that I brought my husband to the next one and we have been
coming back monthly for a year now.
Demaz has taught us about Cambodian food ingredients and where to shop for them,
beautiful presentation of recipes, and blending of unique flavors and textures.
I continue to learn and enjoy the wide variety of recipes.
She demonstrates preparation so well that I have made many of her dishes at home.
I recommend Demaz's class as a learning and fun experience.

are simple and delicious. The meal that follows is pure fun.
Her Cambodian Pad Thai was the best our class ever tasted. ENJOY!

I highly recommend Demaz Baker's Cambodian cooking class.
I have taken numerous courses in ethnic cooking and recently found
Demaz's course to be the best one yet. Her personal recipes are wholesome,
healthy, easy to prepare, and (most importantly) delicious.
Her instruction is easy to follow and ensures all class members participate,
learn, and enjoy themselves. With the preparation of four to five dishes
with each night's class, the wonderful meals we prepared for ourselves
were well worth the cost of admission on their own.
For a fun time with fabulous food,
I highly recommend you take one of Demaz's classes!

This is my second Cambodian cooking class with Demaz, and I am already looking forward
to the third one! Her recipes are simply delicious, and my family
and guests have enjoyed them thoroughly. She uses only fresh ingredients
and makes sure that we slice the meat and vegetables properly,
and present the dishes beautifully. I admire her kitchen organization skills,
warm personality and fine sense of humor. She is an excellent teacher!

Demaz's class is a truly unique experience. For the naive palate,
her recipes provided an excellent and intriguing introduction
to real Cambodian cuisine. Each class consisted of a hand-on experience
in preparing a variety of dishes that culminated in a relaxed sit-down meal.
I recommend Demaz's class to those particularly interested in Cambodian cooking,
as well as anyone who would enjoy learning to cook new dishes
(and enjoy them!) in a friendly, relaxed environment.

delicious like other Asian cuisines yet it has unique flavors and style that

Comments: I will be forever grateful to Om
Demaz for sharing her culinary expertise with us! We made the most
incredible-tasting and authentic Cambodian dishes, but with recipes that are
easy-to-follow and fast. Om Demaz showed us special cooking and cutting techniques,
shared shopping tips, and even gave us a history lesson of Cambodia! The
class was hands-on and everyone had a chance to cook numerous meals (we got
to take home several sets of recipes taken directly from Om Demaz's book).
The best part was sitting at the end of each class and eating our
accomplishment! Om Demaz is a wonderful, patient, and generous teacher. She
wants us to learn and constantly encouraged everyone to cook at home. I think
the person who is most grateful that I took this class is my husband. He
loves every dish that I've prepared and now considers me the family chef!
That's quite a compliment considering BEFORE Om Demaz's class, I didn't even
know how to properly boil an egg. Forever indebted, Variny Yim Paladino (FYI,
I took this class with my mother. Both of us are Cambodian and we can attest
to the fact that the food is deeelicious and authentic! I highly recommend
taking Om Demaz's class with someone you know -- it makes it even more fun
and gratifying!)

Comments: Demaz is a very well organized
instructor in her cooking class. For each session of two and one-half hours,
we were able to prepare three dishes, enjoy the dinner, and return the
kitchen to its former immaculate shape. As a Cambodian, I can attest that
Demaz chose dishes that are popular and much sought after at Cambodian
functions. She also experiments--we had a dish using lobster one evening. She
mixes into her cooking instruction notes about Cambodian culture, Cambodian
geography, and other things Cambodian, so her students learn about more than
Cambodian cuisine. In a nutshell, I highly recommend her class--and her
cookbook--for both beginning and experienced chefs.

if you want people to find your web site who do not already know about your
class. I was able to look up Cambodian recipes however from other websites.
Your website is a good start. Do you intend to sell your cookbook here or are
you going to add any recipes? Your class was sure fun and the food great.

Comments: This class was one of the most
enjoyable classes that I have taken through Arlington County Adult Education.
Every class was composed of at least 3 wonderful Cambodian dishes. We learned
all the important techniques in the preparation of the dishes and were given
the names of ingredients and where they could be found locally. The class
also contained great information on Cambodian culture and customs. We learned
the importance of presentation when serving a dish, and hints for finishing touches
that make the food appealing to the eye as well as to the nose and mouth!
Demaz Baker leads a fun-filled adventure in the world of Cambodian cuisine,
and I would highly recommend the class to anyone who enjoys great food and
great company.
